About me
Hello there, I’m Deniz — an IoT Engineer, currently living and working in Switzerland.
I studied electronics/automation in Cologne and Internet of Things/intelligent systems in Vienna.
Over the years, I have worked in various companies and sectors in several countries, both during and after my studies. What hasn’t changed is the fact that everything focused on IoT.
Already in my bachelor’s degree, I realized that I enjoy the IoT field the most, which is why I’ve been fully focused on it for the last few years. It combines so many different specialist areas that it never gets boring.
I’m still very much at the beginning of my working career, but I believe that my experiences out there could help some people.
About this website
There are three main reasons why I created this website:
- Too much free time
Right now, I’m in a phase of life where I have more free time than usual. So I thought to myself: “Hey, haven’t you always wanted to have your own website?” And well—here we are.
- Being productive
Having free time is great, but I like to spend it doing things that are both fun and useful. Building this site has given me a creative opportunity and keeps me busy learning and growing. That’s a win-win in my book.
- Helping others
So many times, I’ve been stuck on a problem—frustrated and out of ideas—only to stumble across a blog post from someone who had the exact same problem and shared their solution. I’ve always been incredibly grateful to those people who took the time to help strangers on the internet. That inspired me. If anything I share here helps even one person, that alone will make this whole little project worthwhile.
